10/11/2018  Seagrave Wolds Challenge
Caroline Archer reports: A great day out at Seagrave Wolds Challenge for Hunts AC today! After much talk about the amazing post-race crumble (a great substitute for a medal), we headed out early doors to Leicestershire in search for mud and hills. We were lucky with the weather and the wind only turned on us slightly towards the end. Although Kelly Crawford, Andy Richardson and Nick Osborn took the undulations in their stride (or hills as I would call them), I found them quite a struggle! There was some mud, but wasn’t nearly as bad (or good, depending on your viewpoint) as feared. This year's race was a 15.5 mile course with beautiful views across farmland and the Wolds. It was a very friendly event and I recommend it for those seeking a tougher course where the miles seem to fly by. Hunts AC did not disappoint; Nick finished strong in 2nd place overall (1:45:06), followed by speedy Seagrave regular (7 years) Andy (3rd M50, 2:06:45), Kelly in her element as 12th lady (2:14:53) and myself pleased with a top quality training run/race (17th 2:21:44).   Further Info
