Welcome to the Track & Field section of Huntingdonshire Athletics Club


Coaching and training sessions for all age groups (minimum age 9 years) take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 pm to 8:45 pm at the St Ives Outdoor Centre athletics track.


Hunts AC athletes compete in the:

Southern Athletics League (ages 15 to Seniors)

East Anglian League (ages 9 to Seniors)

Eastern Veteran's League (women ages 35 - 65; men ages 40 to 65)


Other competitions include:  club championships, county championships, 3 open meets at St Ives.


All outdoor track & field competitions run from April to September.

22/02/2020  England Athletics U15/U17/U20 Championships, Sheffield  details
Ayo Opaleye U17M High Jump 1.99m (1st) - National Champion/Gold Medallist - Moves to the top of the U17M National Rankings - HJ attempts: 1.74m (0), 1.78m (0), 1.82m (0), 1.86m (X0), 1.90m (0), 1.93m (0), 1.96m (XX0), 1.99m (0), 2.01m (XX) - Gave up on 2.01m after two attempts - Broke U17M club indoor record of 1.89 with 1.90, 1.93, 1.96 and 1.99 - One month ago, Ayo's indoor club record was 1.75m - He has had just three HJ training sessions this winter; both in the past couple of weeks. Ayo also competed in the U17M 60m finishing 2nd in his heat in 7.19 secs, a personal best by 0.21 secs and just 0.04 secs from the U17M club record.

Nineteen-year-old Joey Croft won his 800m race in 1:54.27 at the Texas A&M Invitational to beat Neil Speaight's Senior Men's indoor club record of 1:55.3 set in 1997.
